Joyce Haxton lives on the banks of the Manistee River in Grayling, Michigan. She has been coming north since the early 80’s and permanently moved north in 2015.
She had worked in health care at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor for over 30 years and brings her organizational skills to the Anglers.
Joyce has been a fly fisher since the early 80’s. She is a long-term member in the Michigan Fly Fishing Club (MFFC), a life member of Trout Unlimited and very active in local chapters as well as she is on the board of the Upper Manistee River Association (UMRA) and enjoys volunteering on many projects.
She loves all things fly fishing with her husband Al, as you can find them anywhere on the river. Joyce loves to cook, garden, bird watch and explore the woods with their Golden Retriever!
